Atlas of the Unbuilt World, London, UK 2013
The resettlement plans produced as part of the post-course engagement were displayed in the Atlas of the Unbuilt World forming part of the London Festival of Architecture. The Atlas comprised models produced by young architectural practices from across the globe with the resettlement process models produced by 26’10 south Architects and BOOM Architects forming a vital contrast to the refined objects on display. The [in]formal Studio was presented (by Thorsten Deckler and Eric Wright) at a Wick Session in Hackney, site of the London Olympics and the highest concentration of artists in Europe. The story of Marlboro South chimed with the story of artists living in re-purposed warehouses who are mobilizing themselves to resist the whole-sale gentrification of the area. Participation in the Atlas of the Unbuilt World was supported by the British Council and the participation in the Wick Session by PPC Cement.
